Dispose of your equipment

The symbol of a crossed out wheelie bin on a product means that the product is classed as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). This means you shouldn’t throw it in your normal rubbish at the end of its working life.

This is because where WEEE finishes up in a landfill it can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on the natural habitat, wildlife and human health.

Electrical equipment is the UK’s fastest-growing type of waste. Many electrical and electronic items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment.
